The Forum Participates in 2003 Minnesota AIDS Walk
May 18, 2003

"A worthy contribution to a growing body of socially conscious art that confronts this crisis with truth, beauty, and life-spirit."
- Robert Carl, Fanfare

On a beautiful Sunday morning in Minneapolis, the Forum’s Minnesota AIDS Walk team joined 8,000 walkers to raise funds for Minnesotans living with HIV. The walk raised $525,000 for HIV prevention and education.

Founded in 1983, MAP is a statewide, nonprofit agency committed to enhancing the lives of people living with HIV, prevention education for those at risk for HIV, and advocating for the rights of all affected by HIV. Nearly half of the approximately 4,500 Minnesotans living with HIV use services provided by MAP. In 2001, MAP directly enhanced the lives of more than 2,100 Minnesotans living with HIV and reached thousands of people with prevention messages through community and outreach efforts.
