Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to play hand drums, sing and compose. Such activities led to recording music on a variety of CDs, ranging from contemporary, jazz-infused, gospel to West African drumming. I have performed nationally as a singer, actor, and instrumentalist with theater, orchestral, and opera companies in the Twin Cities. I am interested in composing a wide range of music styles and traditions. Music for dance, and choral/Vocal music is of particular interest. My most recent project is a Commission from Baritone Michael Jorgenson for his performance at the Nobel Conference. Much of my work represents a continuum of black musical forms, from West Africa, to the Caribbean, to the United States.
