Introduction:
Previn is available to compose commissioned works. For more information, please visit his website or send him an email.

Biography:
Born in Atlanta, and raised in Illinois and Colorado, Previn has been blessed to grow up in a musical household. Composing his first piano work at 9, and taking his first college theory course at 13, Previn has been fortunate to have been presented with musical instruction by some excellent teachers; Dr. Metz and Dr. Stinson in Theory, and Neil Johnson, Dr. Egbert, Dr. Lueck, Mrs. Lueck, and Dr. Darrough in choir. Dr. Queen was influential in getting Previn involved with opera from a performer's point of view. Dr. Vaughn and Professor Fox were instrumental in assisting Previn with better understanding of his own voice, and have always been wonderfully supportive. Previn would like to thank everyone involved in helping him on his journey towards becoming a better composer.

Artist's Statement:
My goal with music is to create beautiful works that effect positive movement within those who hear them; either catharsis, love, elation, or a call to positive action in one's life. Positive movement, inspired by the good elements of humanity's nature, is what drives me, musically.
